What do I do after the migration?
Updated on 2026-04-26
Your BedFlow is up — what now?
Migration successful, your data is in. Before you switch over for good there are a few things to do + a few decisions to make.
Right after migration (15 min)
1. Test your 5 most important bookings
Open Bookings → pick 3-5 existing bookings you know. Click them open and check:
- Is the guest name correct?
- Arrival/departure dates?
- Amount and payment status?
- Included products (breakfast, wellness, parking)?
If something looks wrong, take a screenshot and send it to us — for a data mismatch it is usually an MT API field with a different name than expected. We fix it in the import mapping (free, it is a bug).
2. Check your rooms
Rooms → walk through them one by one:
- Are the names correct?
- Photos present (default + extras)?
- Daily prices per weekday correct?
- Capacity (max adults + children)?
3. Configure your Stripe integration
For payments via your booking widget and guest portal you need Stripe.
- Settings → Integrations → Stripe
- Fill in your Stripe Secret Key + Public Key (find them at
dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys) - Test with a €1 payment → you can void it afterwards
First time creating a Stripe account? Follow /docs/betalingen/stripe-setup.
Within the first week (1h spread out)
Custom domain for your booking widget
See /docs/integraties/custom-domain — you can serve your BedFlow widget on your own domain (e.g. book.yourbb.be) with automatic SSL.
Channex integration (Booking.com / Airbnb / Expedia)
If you also want to manage your OTAs through BedFlow:
- Connections → Channex → click Connect
- Create a Channex account (free up to 5 rooms)
- Channex generates a property ID, which you paste into BedFlow
After that 2-way sync of prices + availability runs.
Yuki / Octopus integration
If you want to push your invoices automatically to your accountant:
- Connections → Yuki or Octopus → enter API credentials
- Test with 1 invoice → it should appear in your accounting tool within 30 seconds
Decisions to make
Activate the webhook or not?
During the parallel phase the webhook is strongly recommended so that your BedFlow stays live in sync with MyTourist. See /docs/migratie/webhook-instellen — takes 1 minute.
Premium Support?
If you are on a Business or Hotel tier and uptime is critical for your business: consider €49/m Premium Support. Unlimited tickets, 4h SLA, priority in the queue. For a Starter-tier B&B it is usually not necessary.
When to cancel MyTourist?
Our recommendation:
- Weeks 1-2: BedFlow is a shadow of MT. Test everything.
- Weeks 3-4: Switch your booking widget to BedFlow.
- Week 5+: BedFlow is your primary system, MT on read-only.
- Months 3-4: You are confident everything works → cancel MT subscription.
There is no rush. We have customers who ran in parallel for 6 months before they cancelled MT.
Frequently asked questions
"My historical invoices are not all in BedFlow." By default we import from 2020-01-01. Want older invoices? Send a ticket — we can re-run the import with a custom start date.
"The photos are lower quality than in MT."
We download the highest quality the MT API returns (pictures array). If you have better photos, upload them directly in BedFlow → Room types → Replace photos.
"My language variants of room descriptions are missing." MT returns one language per call. We import NL by default — for EN/FR/DE: send a ticket and we run a second import pass.
"I want to go back to MyTourist." No problem. Within 30 days: one email, your money back, no questions. After 30 days: you can always export your BedFlow data to CSV/JSON via Settings → Data export.
